FAQ

Straight answers on what coaching covers, whether you need Jobber, how fast it shows up in the numbers, and what it costs.

Who is this actually for?

Owners of tree services and home service companies who are running the business and selling the work themselves. Tree service is our bread and butter — it’s what we do every day — but the sales, marketing, review and operations work applies to any trade that quotes jobs at a property.

What does this actually cover?

The business side nobody trained you on. Pricing and selling estimates, marketing that produces booked jobs, a review engine, written systems, your Google profile, and getting your CRM to do the work it’s capable of. Jon doesn’t teach rigging.

Do you do the work, or teach me to do it?

Both, depending on the job. Some things Jon walks you through so you own them — pricing, how you sell, how you run your crew. Other things we build with you on the call, like the follow-up sequence or the review system. You get homework between calls, and the work only moves as fast as you do it.

What happens on the first call?

Fifteen minutes, free. You tell Jon where the business is at, what you’re stuck on and what you want it to look like. He tells you straight whether we can help. If we’re not the right fit, he’ll say so on that call.

What does it cost?

The first call is free. After that, coaching is $600 a month for two calls or $1,000 a month for four. Month to month, 30 days’ notice to cancel.

Most owners should start on four calls a month. Early on it’s hard to build momentum without consistent weekly contact — you can scale back once the systems are in.

How long before I see anything change?

It depends on what’s broken. Fixing how you follow up on estimates, or cleaning up your Google profile, can show inside a few weeks. Search rankings and marketing are slower — usually six to twelve months before they’re really working. Anyone promising faster than that on search is selling you something.

Do I have to be on a CRM already?

No. If you’re not running one, getting you set up is often one of the first things we do. Our automation work is built on Jobber, so you’ll get the most out of that side if you’re on it or willing to move. Everything else applies either way.

What if my website is the problem?

We’ll go through it and tell you whether it’s bringing you work or just sitting there. Sometimes the fix is small. Sometimes it needs rebuilding, and we can handle that separately — it’s quoted on its own, not bundled into coaching.

I’m just starting out. Is it too early?

Usually not. The cheapest time to build a sales process and a review system is before you have a mess to undo. But if the honest answer is that you need jobs this week more than you need systems, Jon will tell you that on the free call.

Do you work with my competitors?

We don’t coach two companies going after the same customers in the same market. Ask on the first call and Jon will tell you straight whether your area is already taken.

You can keep guessing, or you can start building.

We’ve already spent the time, money and headaches figuring out what works. We’ll show you what we’d fix first and give you a plan to attack it.
